amazon web services - Is there a way to publish web content and simply make a profit? -

i envision s3 (amazon simple storage solution), content creator gets set price per download, , assign amazon accounts receive percentage of revenue.

it'd great if content creator set cut @ zero, , whoever downloading asset paying , s3 download bandwidth.

or if content creator estimate how many downloads in month, schedule cost amortization s3 storage cost well, , build right in download cost. if actual download rate different, perhaps amortized cost configured adjust rapidly, slowly, etc.

or if content creator set asset pay own storage , bandwidth, initial allowance. asset has negative balance, asset deleted, not incur more costs creator. or creator pre-empt death, , withdraw revenue @ time.

and if put together, content creator say, "amortize storage cost (1k downloads per month expected, adjust @ medium pace), die when runs out of money, want make $0.10 off every download, $0.01 of stay asset pay own storage during lean months, $0.01 of should go editor's account, , other $0.08 go me."

and yes, amazon might demand cut doing of processing.

if i'm playing video game, , click download new map, amazon api used ask me confirm purchase, , download asset. completely transparently person created map.

if i'm browsing web, "are sure, costs $0.30" interstitial page open, before allowing me download. hidden behind simple url.

my point being if built right in s3, rather requiring entire storefront , credit card processing, etc, make trivially easy content creators share , profit work.

does such thing exist?

given using s3 - can leverage amazon devpay charge customer.

your customers doesn't required on aws or have aws account - amazon.com account sufficient.

mercurial graft feature, can it copy? -

there new feature in mercurial 3, called 'graft' (graft local). job of moving change-set different branch. is there way "copy" change-set branch? i interested in in moving stuff qa branch production branch, still need code reside in qa. want copy. found , have tried few things, maybe it'll become clear more tinkering , reading... does have better way of 'cherry picking' change-sets move cross branch (or trunk)??? graft copies changesets, doesn't move them. hg graft (emphasis mine): this command uses mercurial's merge logic copy individual changes other branches without merging branches in history graph. known 'backporting' or 'cherry-picking' . default, graft copy user, date, , description source changesets.
